Your shot at a future Texoma Observer cover.

Texoma is full of scenes worth sharing—downtown streets, lake days, live music, small businesses, community traditions, local characters, and the everyday moments that make this place feel like home. Texoma Observer is inviting local photographers to submit original work for consideration for a future magazine cover, including the October 2026 issue.

SUBMISSIONS: AUGUST 10–20, 2026

Entries close August 20 at 11:59 PM Central.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Original photographs taken in the Texoma region

• Strong local character, atmosphere, movement, or community energy

• High-resolution images suitable for an 8.5 × 11-inch printed cover

• Vertical images are strongly preferred; allow room for the TXO masthead and cover lines

• JPG or PNG files without watermarks, logos, borders, or text

• Standard color and exposure edits are welcome; AI-generated images and AI-added or removed elements are not eligible

HOW IT WORKS

• Submit up to three photographs per person through this official form.

• TXO will select finalists on August 21.

• Public voting will run August 21–24, ending at 8 PM Central, to choose a Community Favorite.

• Texoma Observer will independently select the Cover Selection based on image quality, composition, print suitability, and fit with the issue.

• Results will be announced August 25.

• The Community Favorite and Cover Selection may be different photographs.

• Submission does not guarantee publication, finalist status, or cover placement. No cash prize is offered.

IMPORTANT RIGHTS & PERMISSIONS

You must own the photograph and have authority to submit it. You retain your copyright. By submitting, you grant Texoma Observer a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to crop, lightly edit, publish, display, and promote the submitted photograph in print, on texomaobserver.com, through email, and on TXO social media, with photographer credit when reasonably possible.

If recognizable people appear, you confirm that you have their permission for editorial and promotional publication. A parent or legal guardian must authorize the use of any recognizable minor’s image. Entrants must be 18 or older; a parent or guardian may submit on behalf of a minor photographer.

If your photograph is selected, TXO may contact you for the original full-resolution file and additional information.
